Archicad 24 exchange features

We're really interested in some of the Archicad 24 exchange features, but after downloading the update I cannot for the life of me find them. There's no mention of these in the on-line documentation either.

These are:
- Direct import-export of RVT (revit) files.
- Publisher connections to Aconex
- Open revit families as library objects.

I'm on the Mac at the moment, so I don't know if this in something only in the PC release at this stage. Any one found how to use these?

The last one (opening revit families for library parts) was mentioned in the Q&A session yesterday. The description made it sound like a no-brainer, so easy implementation. The other two are straight from the "What's New" section on the website.

"Exchange information with Revit directly “out-of-the-box.” Import and export elements with their precise geometry and parameters (as non-editable content) from Revit (RVT) files for coordination and model referencing purposes. Access RVT files locally or via BIMcloud, using Hotlink or Publish functions."

"Publish projects from Archicad to shared online locations with ease thanks to a streamlined submission process. There’s no need to stay glued to the screen to watch for the publishing to finish, or additional manual uploads. Archicad takes care of it all. Connect to industry-leading CDE solutions such as Aconex via buildingSMART-defined “open” protocols."

Revit Exchange, like Param-O and more, is a separate download. Both are identified as Technology Previews - so the full release versions will presumably arrive via product updates down the road:

Here are all of the add-ons:

Ah, so this is just the BIM6x developed plugin by the looks of it.

We are working together with other vendors to develop and standardize an open API (openCDE-API) to make it possible to connect to any CDE solutions who are ready to join. It is under development currently so I cannot announce a foreseeable release date now.
You can read about this initiative here:

Hi Florian,

I'm back here with my new, official GS account and started to clean up the old, abandoned topics like this, so sorry for the significant delay. 🙂

buildingSMART's open CDE Documents API standard definition is progressing, you can review its actual status here: https://github.com/buildingSMART/documents-API

As I see now GS product will be able to support it as soon as the standard is settled.

Regards,

Gyuri
