Archicad keeps crashing on certain commands

Hi.

I am facing a repeating problem with Archicad 24. It keeps crashing while performing certain tasks.

For example:

It crashes when trying to update certain drawings in the layout.

It will crash when deleting a particular section line

It will crash when trying to publish a certain subset.

Here are some of the bug IDs I have collected:

AC24-2022-02-03-10-04-55-3367
AC24-2022-02-03-10-13-27-8762
AC24-2022-02-03-11-28-56-1056
AC24-2022-02-03-13-19-28-7683
AC24-2022-02-03-15-44-05-7085

It always happens only at these particular instances while every other thing works fine. Does anybody know what can be the cause?

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you very much for the report and I am very sorry for the experience!

Based on the crash reports, unfortunately we couldn't find any defect linked to them yet. One thing I would like to mention is: all of these crashes happened on build 5000. The latest update for Archicad 24 is 6004 (and there is also Preview build 7000 at the moment). I'm wondering if the crashes still happen with the latest update for Archicad 24?

If yes, I suggest contacting your local support for further investigation.

Thank you very much for your understanding! Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with!

Best regards,

Minh

Thank you for the reply guys. I followed up with the local support.

Turns out I had to only delete the TW Data files which were taking up a lot of space.

For now, it works well.

We won't know the cause - we will just be guessing.

My best guesses...

Are you using the latest build for 24?

Is it happening to just this one file or all files?

Have you followed up those bug reports with your local support people?

They are the best people to talk to about these.

You may be lucky and Minh might see this post and check it out.

But Minh is just one person dealing with everyone in this forum (world-wide), whereas your local support is dealing with just your local area but still has the full resources of Graphisoft to help.

This was my Archicad 22 constant crashing problem, but maybe it's worth checking it.

Check if you have in the Windows 10 regional setting the Beta UTF-8 option activated.

Deactivating this solved my Archicad 22, maybe it will help with v.24 as well.
