-can you find the file using another IFC viewer such as DDSCAD or solibri?
-does the IFC file open in archicad ok?

Hi All,

Erika's advice is a good, general practice, it is always worth to check the exported IFC file in an independent viewer.
Here are some free softwares:
Solibri Model Viewer: http://www.solibri.com/solibri-model-viewer.html (Windows and Mac)
Tekla BIMsight: http://www.teklabimsight.com/getStarted.jsp (Windows only)
DDS-CAD Viewer: http://www.dds-cad.net/132x2x0.xhtml (Windows only)

The IFC model on Tekla Structures can be opened only via the "insert a reference model."
If you still do not see the model, then you should fit the work area for all elements.
Sometimes this happens because the model is made in ArchiCAD very far from the point 0,0,0. That is why we always recommend to model a building close to the point

May be you just miss to make a new file in tekla, just try it and click the insert button to insert your ifc file. I am sure it solve your problem.
