Beam length in schedules

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am using AC12 currently and I am trying to get all of my beams in my model into a schedule. If I select a beam and view the element information I can see that the actual length of the beam is there under "length of the reference Line" but when I go into the Scheme settings under available parameters there is nothing in there that has the actual length of the beam. It only has length left and length right which is not the actual length of the beam.

I have not figured out why these values are different if I have one stand alone beam in the plan why is the left or the right side id not the actual length of the beam? The actual length of this particular beam is 8'-0" but it says the left and right length is 8'-2 15/16".

Any help on this would be great.

Thanks,
John
