Hi

Apologies for the cross posting. Not sure which group to post this to.

How do I get my AC model into cinema 4d? I just downloaded the demo copy of C4D 10.

Any help much appreciated.

You have a couple options:
1) Export from Archicad to 3DS
2) Purchase the Exchange module, which allows you to export from Archicad to an AC4D file, which allows your Archicad file to be updated within C4D as needed.

If you're just experimenting, #1 works. If you're doing serious production work, #2 is the only way to do.

The only problem with number 2 is that the plugin AFAIK is still not available for AC10

You might be right. It's been a few months since I've used it.

I just emailed Maxon. I'll let you know what I find out.

Free, if you purchased Maxon's Exchange product to begin with, I think

I talked to some local dealers of Archicad who suggested that I could just as well use the plug in that comes with Maxonform... ?!

Is this correct?

(P.s - I also posted a question in the student forum - please have a look!)
