Export IFC and DXF file to ETABS

Hi,

What are the settings to be done to export to ETABS using DXF and IFC file format.

I tried the setting in DXF-DWG Translation setup and IFC Translation setup.

The file is not opening in ETABS.

Please help me.

Thank you,

Regards,

Hello,

Your Archicad file is great and your ifc export too
Here is a Graphisoft forum
I invite you to ask it to an ETABS forum

Hi

No matter to export an ifc
No matter to read it with SMV (Solibri)
All the element seems to be right...

I've not found a ETABS for macOS to check this ifc
Which version of ETABS is this??
And Which version of AC you used for export?

In ETABS also I dint got the answer.

I am using AC 19 and exported to ETABS ver 17, that's why its not opened in ETABS.
Now I tried with opening in ETABS v18, It's working fine.

The beam sizes are coming properly like width and depth same as archicad??

For us the sizes are changing like depth in archicad become width in ETABS.
Is any other setting to be changed??

I think there is a problem to solve in the ETABS side.

There is a lot of geometric parameters but i do not think it deals with a archicad export parameters cause I did not see this kind of deformation before. 😕

Is there any connection between Global axis and Local axis to transfer file from ArchiCAD and ETABS.

Because beam sizes are changing , like width of beam in AC, become depth of the beam in ETABS.

Where to check the global and local axis in Archicad???

Thank you,

No it is not working.

I have created a basic model just to check, using beam, column, wall and slab, but if I import that in ETABS, only slab is coming.

Roopa A S

I have given square column and beam, and exported to ETABS.

In ETABS, I assigned the Column and Beam sizes,

There also the beam width is coming as depth and Depth becomes width, is the problem in AC export or in the ETABS.

I have posted in ETABS forum also the question..
