Hello, we have recently started using AC25 and the new native survey point feature, which is working very well for export to DWG, but we are having trouble with the IFC export. No matter the settings in the IFC translator under Geometry Conversion it seems to use the survey points location. We would like to be able to chose wether to use the survey point or local origin, same as we can with DWG.
Is there perhaphs a new settings hidden somewhere, or should I approach this in another way?

Hi. You can show the IFC setting of the translator?

Same in our company. We work with subcontractors, and they prefer to use local origin. Same file, exported with AC24 is OK, but exported with AC25 gets rotated/relocated.

Hi,
We also have this annoying ISSUE/BUG. It does not matter what we select "Project Origin" or "Survey Point" in IFC geometry conversion. IFC still gets exported according built in Archicad 25 survey point rotation. Archicad 25 build version 3011 - INT.
Archicad development team should include such things into TEST'ing cases when releasing new Archicad versions. TESTING - TESTING - TESTING.

Hi. What software are you using?

We are using Archicad 25 INT build 3011 for exporting IFC.
Contractors are using. AutoCAD, Revit, BIMsync for IFC colaboration, Pamir and other.

Yep, exactly like Algimantas Kuprenas described the translator. We are using 25 SWE build 3011. The new system works fine for DWG, but not IFC.

The IFC will always use the Survey Point. If you want to export to Project Origin leave your Survey Point at the project origin (where it starts when the project opens).
The selection in the translator concerns the global location of the IFCsite (not the origin of the IFC). Whether the coordinates documented in the IFC data is in relation to the local coordinate system or in relation to the determined site set out point.

Hi rohanbailey,
Thanks for help, but to be frankly I don't understand how it works in AC25 😞
We work on project file (TEAMWORK) together with architects and others, and they input project information rotation information. So every time I publish *.ifc I need to change that value to 90 degrees > Publish IFC > change project rotation back to architects value. I just want to publish *.ifc files that they are not rotated, but show like they are in Archicad workspace.
