Exporting Curtain wall layers

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello!

Im trying to save my curtain wall components in different layers, specifically a want the glass panels in a layer and the boundaries and the mullions in another layer.
The reason for this is that I want to export the 3D model in 3dsMax where it would be easier for me to add materials.

I already tried converting the curtain walls into morphs and manually moving the panels in another layer, but im wondering if there's another less time consuming way to do this.

The usual trick is assigning different materials per element type and then export using "…by material" option
