Hello,

I'm new here to the forums ( and don't know if this belongs here), but can I use archiCAD to make 3D modells for games? And into wich kind of files can I export it?

Thanks in advance

You can export your ArchiCAD models using the 3DS exporter.

If it is a game like counterstrike, they have their own level editor.... Personally I think AC would be easier if you can export... see what formats their level editor can import...

From in ArchiCAD, export as *.3ds

Open in 3ds max and do some preparation work

Export as *.ase (but not all at once...)

Load in the Unreal Level editor as a static mesh, making sure you carved out the "world" before.

Assign the correct texture maps.

Add lights and build and play.
