After banging my head against the wall for about half an hour, I thought I'd put the question to you all to see if I was missing something easy.
I'm simply trying to save a copy of my window and door schedules to an excel file. It's important for my purposes to keep the formatting intact.
I've tried publishing with the result, "Publishing of the item failed because ArchiCAD was unable to generate it." I've tried "save as --> .xls" which successfully creates a file, however, the file is completely blank containing no information.
Publishing or "save as" to all the other options for file types works fine. any ideas?
Tried that, with the schedule open and refreshed. It successfully created the file but the file was empty. Strangely, all the other file formats work fine.
Your signature says you are on AC 13 Mac ... is it possible that you are actually on 14 now? Saving to XLS is a 14 Mac Java update bug reported (and patched) here:
Good news. Glad it worked, Dom! I give Graphisoft a lot of credit for how quickly they came out with the patches and the detailed Wiki article after the Apple Java update raised havoc for Mac users.
