I can't import a dwg from commercial to educational

Hi, I need quick help. I am trying to open a dwg my lecturer gave me from a surveyor for a studio assignment, but I can't open it in educational version. What can I do?

What version is your ArchiCAD and what version is the DWG file you received?
Maybe the AC version is older and the DWG file is newer?
If that is not the problem what is the exact error message you get when trying to open the DWG?
