Hi - does anybody know what happened to the ncs colour palette ?

Mention of it back in 2000:

And half a mention on the forum a few years back.

It sounds like its some sort of plugin....

A few days ago, I've searched that too. We usually decide our facade colors from various RAL or NCS catalogs and it would be awesome that if we can import NCS colors like RAL goodies. I've even considered writing an e-mail to NCS because they have several templates for AutoCAD, PS, and Illustrator...

I found a user guide and some .pdf installation documents and 1-2 screenshots about that plugin, and some info as that plugin had a price tag on it; but not the plugin itself...

We just need some simple color importer like RAL, not re-discover NCS colors on the color triangle (or whatever they call their system).
it was a "For Sale" item back in the 90s. Not sure when it disappeared, but I haven't heard anything about it for a very long time.

For RAL colours I look up the RGB value online and create my own surface. I imagine for NCS it would be equally simple.

https://encycolorpedia.com is my friend in this regard.

Why not just use the RAL Add-On?

Because it creates rubbish surfaces for renders in terms of reflective qualities etc
