Opening Effects IFC Wall Geometry

Hi,

We are having some trouble with IFC wall geometry not intersecting properly when it has an opening in it.

IFC used the general export translator.

A model with an opening below shows weird intersections with that wall. An exact copy of the model with the opening removed below shows fine intersections.

Model in Archicad with fine intersections.

I have tested this with all existing and all new renovation statuses and got the same result.

Exporting using the exact geometry method helps but not a mitre joint like other walls.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Note IFC 4 does not help either.

Hi Patrick,

Thank you very much for the report and I am very sorry for the issue!

I made a quick test file based on the screenshot, but the IFC was exported with the correct wall connection.

May I ask which Archicad version and language you are using?

Would it be possible for you to share the file with us for a closer look?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Minh
