Steve,

So what happened with the STP viewer? Have you downloaded and used it? Um, have you tried to open files in Adobe pdf (site mentions compatibility with PDFs).

The viewer works great but I was trying to figure out some way to get the objects into ArchiCAD. Same goes for .rvt files.
So many manufactures are making BIM parts for Revit and I want to know how to get them into some sort of file format that I can use with ArchiCAD.

Steve,
Elsewhere on (rendering) forum someone successfully used Sketchup to import 3rd party files and then export to something that AC can import. Of course you are dealing with 3d files but the concept may still be valid. I don't have the latest Adobe Acrobat, but I understand it intelligently imports 3d files, that may be another venue for a double import-export solution.
All the best,

Thanks, I do have the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.
I will give that a try.

WOW! The Acrobat 9.3 will open STP and IFC files. And in full, active 3d. Can spin it arround in the .pdf file. Add dimensions, notes, All in 3d. change lighting, wire frame, shading, transpaency... The Acrobat can show layers, and make it's own cross sections, and lots of other things. Very cool. Also, I can place button to click on that will open any sort of detail, notes, movie, installation details, Anything! Very cool.

Thanks for posting this Steve.
I went looking for Acrobat Pro vs Extended and found this;

Looks like it is only the extended that does what you are experiencing.
