Teamwork server on dedicated machine

Firstly, does anyone run their BIM server on a dedicated machine?

We're struggling with a fair amount of lag when opening, sending/receiving. So one of the directors has asked if there would be any benefit in a dedicated server machine which runs BIM server only.

Also, we're looking at opening a second office and wondered how this would affect things?

Any help, comments or opinions welcome.
