bimcloud basic backup scripts

Has anyone else had trouble with the latest backup scripts provided by Graphisoft? Links to these are found in the BimCloud Basic Backup Guide.

Some background: we successfully used these scripts in the past to automate the backup of bimserver. We recently upgraded to BimCloud Basic and are using the latest build (2020.2 (24.0.2411.1609)). This was installed on new hardware, so we set about to recreate the backup scripts and scenarios on that hardware. We are running BimCloud Basic on a Mac mini 2018 with macOS Catalina.

When we execute the script provided by GS (v24MacServerAndManagerBkUp.sh), we receive the following error in Terminal:

line 10: syntax error near unexpected token `('
line 10: `ManagerDaemon="/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.graphisoft.PortalServerService-v24.0(Manager-2020-07-21).plist"'

I'm an architect, not a UNIX programmer.... but I suspect the error has to do with the parentheses in the file name.

Has anyone else run into this?

ok, got this resolved.

The issue was the use of "smart" quotes or "curly" quotes as opposed to straight quotes.

When editing these scripts for use, be sure to use a code editor as opposed to a text editor to avoid this issue.

side note: much appreciation to GS for providing these base scripts!
