Let's suffice to say it's a promotional campaign by Autodesk, but it's quite funny... if you have a soundcard.

Oh yeah? I'm curious to see what AC 10 has in store too. Revit 9.0 will be out in Q1 of 2006, so AC 10 better be good.....

Has there been any feature list/content info for Revit 9 released yet?

I'll tell you, when we bought Archicad, the dealer did the best thing he possibly could. He knew we were going to buy 25 licenses over a couple years, so he loaned us two keys for a week. The IT Director and I tested Archicad against Revit, Vectorworks, ADT, and Microstation demos.

We avoided him long enough to keep them for two weeks, then presented him with a purchase order for $24,000 for the first batch of licenses... the dealer never presented to a single partner or gave a single demo... it was all based off being able to demo it for ourselves.
You know, if I had the time I wish I could re-do this test and see how the software stacked up now. I know Revit and Vectorworks have made HUGE strides since December 2002.

it used to be a place. i think architecturalcadd or close to that, where u can find competition results among comparable softs....they were given a task to the various soft groups, and were evaluated on diff disciplines like rendering, speed, friendly or not, etc...i remember ac got 1st place in the learning curve a couple of times.....now i wd like to see some results, including xp line software, and others ac/revit like softs.

Hah ... imagine an underground clandestine society where ArchiCAD and Revit beta testers exchage notes 😉

THAT would be something to make quite a lot of people quite pi**ed off!

It would be more interesting if the programmers were exchanging notes.... Imagine a clandestine society of programmers scheming to control the architects and their so-called "needs"....
