import views from other drawings.

I could import really easily in version 16, maybe 17, but have not been able to import views from other drawings on 18, and 19. back then i could go to a layout sheet right click and pick place drawing browse out to the drawing that i wanted on my machine or my server and pick the view and it be placed on the page in a few seconds. Now i try it and i get the never ending rotating update, and it never does place the drawing. So i am thinking something is not set up correctly on my machine. >?????

Is this AC18 or AC19?

Hm, curious.
I just tried to do it exactly as you subscribed and it worked just fine.
There was some delay after I selected the View to be placed but that was because an ARCHICAD background copy was started.
Otherwise it did it reasonably fast.
Does the little Update Palette come up at the top of your screen to indicate the update process started?
