Adding Surface Setting to Imported Sketch-up Model

JCCARLOS91

Hi,

Is there a way to add a script to an imported sketch-up model so I can edit the surfaces?

I can see 3 different surfaces in imported model but I want to change each of them. Is this possible?

Thank you

This thread should be under Collaborate rather than Document Visualize.

  1. Open your object
  2. Open the 3D Script
  3. At the top, take note of the number of DEFINE MATERIAL lines and the text, the name, within the inverted commas.
  4. Open the Parameters TAB
  5. Create a new parameter for each of the materials noted at step 3, ensuring that the parameter type is set to Surface
  6. Open the 3D Script
  7. ctrl / cmd + F
  8. Under Find type " SET MATERIAL "[name of first material noted at step 3]" "
  9. Under Replace type " SET MATERIAL [name of first material created at step 5] "
  10. Repeat for each material that you want to be editable.
