ArchiCAD ->C4D exported files get weird coordinates

I've been having problems when opening .c4d files made with ArchiCAD 13 (hotfix #7):
Though the geometry in the ArchiCAD file is very close to the origin, it is placed reeeeeally far away from origin in C4D when opened (which is really odd I recon since I've understood that if the stuff is on the origin in ArchiCAD it should be there in C4d as well).

I've tried to solve the problem by moving the Geometry in ArchiCAD the opposite direction where C4D places them ie. so they'd be far away in ArchiCAD but by that logic the should be close to the origin in C4D if it moves everything anyway - but no, if I do that, the stuff is now the same distace the opposite way from the origin as the ArchiCAD model ie. now in the same place in both programs.

I've got the export/import working ONCE when I made a new ArchiCAD file and used "merge" to import the data from the previous file. The model was placed to the same spot as before - close to the origin and when I exported it to C4D it worked ok. But when I tried to make a new export from the file later, I didn't work anymore - the model is again thrown really far from the origin though I haven't been moving it.
I've tried exporting with both absolute and relative coordinates selected in ArchiCAD but no, it doesn't help either.
So this is really confusing. Any ideas?
I tried my colleague's computer to take the model to Arcicad 14 and exporting it to C4D 12 and opening it in C4D 12 but it gets me the same result.

Sorry I don't know anything about importing into C4D.

But are you sure you are looking at the Global Origin in Archicad and not a custom place User Origin?

Yep, both of them are just next to the geometry in AC.

The weird thing is that if I do that merging to a new AC file, I get correct exports to .c4d - as long as I don't close the file. If I save that new AC file with geometry merged from the original, it starts to act like the original when exprting (ie. throwing the geometry really far away from the orgin).

And since I'm working on a project that's goint to go on for several weeks/months, it kinda risky to do that merging and hope that I don't need to close the file even once (not to mention that I'd have to build up the 2D pdf/print/dwg publishing in the new AC file anew).
