problem using Cinema 4D 10/11 add-on for ArchiCAD 12

When I send my volumes from Archicad to cinema, everything is ok. When I come back to Archicad I see in my volume all the triangulate sides like in the picture. It is the same in cinema 10 and 11. It didn't happen in archicad 11 and old add on.

Everything in cinema is set correctly (smooth etc.). I repeat: the same operation works properly in archicad 11 and old addon hidding the sides properly.

I've found that importin object in 3ds looks nice in cross-sections my example here ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikoaj/3895363887/sizes/l/ )
but i have problem with projection imported 3ds to archicad ; it show only symbolic view ( my example here http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikoaj/3912037974/sizes/l/ ). Do u know solution or script to show actual floor plan projection ?

Very nice project. The script to have an automatic projection sectioned in the floor plan is not simple. The automatic 3ds import show the top view.
I have no time to elaborate the script. You could copy it from other object with this future, or copy them from an object imported from cinema. But I think the faster method is create it from the 3d; make a section of the object with the cut plan; view from the top; copy from 3d view and paste on the floor plan. With this method you can copy also the shadow.

I created a loft nurbs surface basen on horizontal splines. Then i played around with mesh typology and extrude it.

It's interesting. Which software did you use? Wath is this mesh Typology? It's odd because you have different shapes inside with 4,5,6,7 sides; does mesh tipology do it automatically?
I usually use cinema 4d and I didn't find any method to achive the result like that.

I'm lucky to be on uiversity so I can test a lot of software with student license. Actually I model with A****sk Maya and prepare documentation in Archicad. About mesh triangulation there is many ways to do this. One of most efficient and popular now is voronoi tessellation( http://home.scarlet.be/zoetrope/voronoi3d/ ) ( some top Arcitecture studios use this method to generate urban plans structures, u know which i mean
BUT u don't have to write scripts to make nice structure form the mesh.
I made my first tutorial ever ( so don't laugh http://www.vimeo.com/6971557

Thanks for your video tutorial mikoaj..!

this could make a good ad. for the c4d...especially for the conceptual phase...

some questions if you don't mind :

1- how do you get the Mograph menu & what's inside ?! you've activated an otpion that it's not really clear ?!

BTW, do you continue using C4d or ....Maya now ?!
