2D plan onto 3D model..

How do I include a floor plan or section views onto 3D model?
How do I show only low walls in my 3D model?

If you want combine 3D model and 2D drawings for presentation - the best way is to use BIMx.

Save the plan/section as a DWG file.
FILE menu > Libraries & Objects > Open Object.
Browse and change the file type to DWG.
Save the result as an object.
Place that object.

In 'Filter and Cut Elements in3D' settings, you can choose which stories to show in 3D.
So you could maybe isolate them in their own storey?

Or use layers - they have their own layer - that would be better.

Or you could play with Renovation status.
If you are not using them for their intended purpose, you could just tag the short walls as 'New' and filter them that way.
Or you can create your own reno filter and tag them with that and set them to show only when that filter is active.

Thank you Barry.

Hmm…I thought I saw it somewhere how Archicad can show 3D model with the floor plan or section from the same file. Maybe it's the BIMx capability.

Also, the 3D model with a cut-wall…this maybe got to do with the plane setting…

Where can I find archicad tutorial videos?

You can use cutting planes (3D cutaway) to get your sections and safe 3D view as 3D documents. 3D document will show correct cutting fills - as it would be in real section of in plan.
You also can have dimensions in 3D document and annotation.

You can find a lot of information in ArchiCAD help centre. I guess they have videos there too.
