Dear All,

Today we made available ARCHICAD 21 Update Build 5002, tested for the AUS, INT, UKI and USA language versions. This is a Preview version of our second Update for ARCHICAD 21, that includes a couple of new features as well as bug fixes.

New features:
PDF Reviewer Tool connection (Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam etc.)
With this solution, we provide a complete, bi-directional workflow between ARCHICAD and any standard PDF reviewer tool, such as Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam. The solution improves communication and collaboration among architects, engineers and other project stakeholders during PDF-based project management. Bi-directional means that all the markups created in the PDF editor can be imported back to ARCHICAD, where they are transformed into Markup entries which appear in the correct location, helping the user to understand and solve the issue.

Link Rhino (.3dm)
We have further improved collaboration between ARCHICAD and Rhinoceros – a popular free-form modelling tool – by adding new import options. The user can link Rhino source files (.3dm) into ARCHICAD, and update, relink etc. in the usual way, similarly to the Link IFC feature introduced in ARCHICAD 21.
Also, Rhino files can be imported into ARCHICAD as an Object, so the new command directly imports Rhino models into ARCHICAD’s Embedded Library as a GDL Object. This command replaces the “Rhino-GDL Converter” Add-On, released for ARCHICAD 18, 19 and 20.

Good to know:
This package is only compatible with the INT, USA, AUS and UKI language versions. If you attempt to install it on a different language version, you will get the following message:
Language version of this Update does not support ARCHICAD 21 found in the following folder: Applications/GRAPHISOFT/ARCHICAD 21
Click Back to browse for another location.

We will create a Public update – compatible with all language versions – in a few weeks time. Based on the feedbacks from this preview period the Public update might be a slightly modified version of this Preview build. If the two will differ, it will be possible to update from the Preview package to the Public one without a problem.

This package is not compatible with the Grasshopper – ARCHICAD Live Connection we published for ARCHICAD 21 Update 4022. We will create a new Grasshopper package that will be available at the time of the Public Release.

Hi folks,

ARCHICAD 21 Update 4022 is workable on macOS 10.13 High Sierra. We are fixing the remaining issues I listed above with Update 5000. We plan to release this package for all of you really soon. We are in the process of compiling and testing the final build.

We've learned about AC21 and High Sierra on new hardware the hard way and so I would make sure that if you're installing AC21 on new Apple hardware that you don't migrate your applications from an older machine.

A clean install of AC21 is a must do. The difference in performance has been like night and day.

Still waiting for the update, however.

When will full release of this update be available please? We ahev a problem in AC21 mentioned in THIS THREAD but can't run the preview update as it doesn't recognise the NZE version.

We have released ARCHICAD 21 Update 5010 publicly: http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=275292

Our tests have not been finished yet for the NZE language version, but this package can be installed onto AC 21 NZE.

Hi Aaron, if you (or anyone else for that matter) still experiences slowness on High Sierra after installing the update, you might be facing an issue with the Autosave folder that is caused by the APFS migration process. Read more here: https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/?p=75345

I am having issues with the PDF add-on. When I bring the pdf back into Archicad the revisions aren't coming back in the correct locations.
