Adding favorite from linked library

Hello,

I have a document with a external folder in the Libraries in Project. The problem I have is that when one of those objects are placed in the drawing and saved as favorites, they become part of the embedded library and if we update any of the gsm objects that are in the external file, the objects that are placed from the favorites are not updated automatically.

Is there a way to overcome this limitations?

Hope it makes sense 🙂

Juan

Favorites are not associative. This means that when you activate a Favorite and then place an element using the settings in that Favorite, there will not be a associative connection created between the place element instance and the Favorite definition. Therefore, if you later modify or redefine the Favorite, the element will not update to reflect the changed settings now stored in the Favorite.

Such functionality has been wished for Archicad before, but no such development has been done yet.
