I know this is an ArchiCAD forum and I know I'm no longer an ArchiCAD user but I'd like to hang the hyperbole flag over this comment.

While we are at it let's discuss why chocolate is better than vanilla. The argument is futile. While I am not a fan of Revit I have met plenty of users that love it as much as I love ArchiCAD. This forum should be a helpful place and frankly I do not mind the Revit user presence. Chadwick is a great example, he brings good insight to discussions. I agree that Revit does notdebilitate creativity, it just has a different approach. It is not the approach for me but I respect the users that feel differently. Does creativity come from software? It would be nice to see any software package create something without the creative forces at the mouse and keyboard.

Intelligent connections:
- what elements are 'affected'?
- are these automatic or can they be user defined?
- can they be over-ridden?

Intelligent connection now refer to:
-SEOs
-Join Wall to Curtain Wall command
-Trim to Roof/Shell command (this is new)

These are all associative relationships, which each change of any of the connected elements, all other connected elements update accordingly.

The first two work the same way as they used to.

The videos pretty much explain all aspects of this new feature.
With Roof/Shell Trims you can trim any construction element, you trim their top or bottom, you can redefine the trimming or clear the connection. It is pretty flexible.

Hi,
Can I assume there is no In Place EDITING for complex walls like the new complex roofs?

Thanks,
Joseph
