Archicad Clash Detection

I cannot perform a collision detection. However, I have used this very useful feature many times, but today I cannot do it without understanding the reason.

We can see :
- 1 element detected into the group number 1
- 1 element detected into the group number 2
- these two elements are clashed into 3D view
- no clash detected by archicad

I’m presuming it’s because the Beam and Wall have already cut each other out due to priority based connections therefore there is no collision anymore. Try to select one of the elements and hit F5 to see the cutout.
Also check the ‘i’ icon on the dialogue which helps to explain this.

Hi, James was right about priority, my own experience is changing number of priority in Layer dialog into 0-zero before "Collision detection". Good luck
