Conservatory Modelling

Hello there,

I work for an architecture company and every now and then we get jobs which require us to remove an existing conservatory and replace it with an extension. This means i have to model the conservatory so it can be put on the existing filter and turned on and off respectively.

However, when it comes to making them I'm constantly asking myself, "surely there's an easier/proper way to do this. its specifically any conservatory which has a dwarf wall.

In past projects I've simply placed the dwarf wall up to the specified height and then created the conservatory windows from window objects attached the dwarf wall (but placed above it). And then created the roof from a series of curtain walls, modified to the shape I need.

I guess what I'm asking is, What is the process that you go through when you've needed to make a conservatory or is there a proper way/tool to use that I'm just completely missing?

We've only been using archicad here properly for a month or two so as you can imagine I'm quite a novice so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Harvey

Sounds you do everything correct. There is no specific tool for conservatory. The closest one is curtain wall. You can do all conservatory from curtain wall, not only roof.
