Coping settings from one view to another

IS there a way that I can copy the settings of one view i.e. section (specially the layers state) to another view, without opening the view and setting up manually.

I find using a "custom" layer combination for views really inconvenient and often resulting in inconsistencies between views and / or when updating them... Are you able to save your original views layer combination then apply it to the new one?

If you have two views open in tabs you can transfer settings from one tab to the other.

The views in the view map of the navigator all have their settings saved with the view.
You must open the settings dialogue to make any changes - and you can't copy and paste the settings from one view to another.

But if you mean between the open windows you have on screen then yes - especially if you are using the TAB bar.
Right click on any tab and you can pick up view settings.
Right click on any other tab and you can inject view settings.
You can also use the keyboard shortcuts for for pick-up and inject as well.
