Curtain Wall not changing panel types

Bruce
Expert
I'm pretty sure this is a bug (23.5005):
I've created a curtain wall with 2 panel types. When I edit the wall and try to change a multiple panels from one type to another, the type changes in the selection, but nothing changes on screen. However, if I do them one by one, they change...sometimes.

The only way I can get them to display right is to manually override the surface...which defeats the purpose of having panel types.

See progress screenshots below.

Ok... Check if there is any Material Override inside the panel itself.
What is the exact name of the CW Door? I just have the INT version.
The only material override are the ones visible in both posts from me above, which shows that glass shall be glass - anyway, i could paint it red, the entire panel remains black 😕
I couldn.t find other indicators that would change materials.

The problem only occurs if i save the type to favourites and use it from there - which means that the problem could have been solved manually for now... even though not very effectively.

It.s more about the wish to understand how things (don.t) work when they should.
Anyway, an Archicad 24 PLA with the problematic element can be downloaded frm here if anyone wants to do some tests, too.

It seems that you have the surface override on for the door panel.

You will have to select the CW and enter the "Edit Mode". Then select the desired element and open its settings. You will see it as a drop down menu next to the bottom of the dialog box.

As Braza mentioned, you have to Go into 'Edit' mode for the Curtain Wall.
Then select the Door panel and have a look at the settings for that.

Hei Barry, see my screenshot from 10:33.
That.s my door panel settings.

PS I just opened Archicad at another machine (also Catalina), trying to find the missing component - the same field missing: It might be a Mac-related bug. Gonna write to Graphisoft.
Thanks for the help guys!

You could also check Work Environment > Tool Schemes > Tool Settings Dialog Boxes > Curtain Wall Panel Tool > Panel Component Settings.
Perhaps it is set to invisible.

That was it.
Thanks a lot, Braza!!
I never suspected that such an important field could be hidden by default.... but now the sun can shine brighter thanks again!!
