Eliminating Custom Door Panel Outline

Is it possible to eliminate the door panel outline that apparently is created by default with a custom door? I've created an arch-topped iron gate, so the rectangular outline is not appropriate. I also want the opening lines referencing the actual gate edges, not the outlining rectangle. (Ignore the door showing behind the gate.)

I've found you can set the FRAME & LEAF OUTLINE PENS in the DOOR SETTING & OPENING - MODEL ATTRIBUTES TO all white (which covers and hides the sharing linework which should not be hidden), but one cannot choose TRANSPARENT. I also cannot find any way to alter the opening line.
