Fills catalog

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi,
some foreword, i was coding a bunch of materials in gdl for my last library and decide to make them a catalog so i can call them but the user won't find them in their elements attribute->surfaces list unless they select "new from catalog" and choose my library.
Now the question: is it possible to do the same for fills? and linetypes?

It seem's to be a gentle solution to an overloaded elements attribute list crisis

You could create an .aat file which contains the additional Fills and Line Types. The user would need to use the Attribute Manager to move any or all of these to their project file. I agree that attribute management is best left to the user, rather than automatically being added via the MasterGDL macro.

Yes you can DEFINE fills and line types too.
Just look in the GDL reference guide.

But I am with David in using Attribute files (.AAT).
Scripting attributes in GDL gives absolutely no control over the index numbers for the attributes which can be important if you need to copy & paste between files or use hotlinks.
