Woot! Going to post a new video tomorrow... This thing is freaking sweet!
here is the new video. I still have a lot of work to do but its getting there. Everything is dynamic and you can add as many or as few of the options as you need for just about any scenario. next ill start adding real life framing such as blocking for twisting, options to choose different joist spacing and spans in different locations and anything else i can think of. All of which will also be dynamic. making this object able to fit just about any house shape. I even plan to add options so you can use it for deck framing too. I am open to all suggestions, and if you have complex framing situation send me a pictures and ill try to make sure i can make it possible.

This is looking realllly good , please consider adding the ability to add additional joist - so we can double-tripple - joist where necessary this would
be helpful around stair openings etc. ----- This scripted part should save a lot of drafting time . Thanks for the work.......javascript:emoticon(':D')

Congratulations,
i think it's a very useful objet.
i'll consider 2d hotspots in plan view at the end of the mayor lines. Just for dimensions in production drawings.
cheers,

Ok, so my coding has to go on pause for a bit. Gotta do real work to pay the bills and keep clients happy. I had some realizations while working over the weekend and will likely be re coding my entire object. but once I'm done its going to be way more realistic framing wise and way more user friendly for editing. plus i need to do this so i can get arcs in the rim board where needed. might be a month or so before im back to it. but the new version is going to be way better.

Very interesting object!

It looks easy to use in Your videos.

Your polygone-path border around the object and also the inner openings seems to consist of a static number of points - or do i have the false impression?

If that is fact - You should have a look at the free polygone-path with the ability to raise and lower the number of points in the path.

it is a bit tricky to learn to use it - but the possibilities are awesome.

I just tried that one from sinceV6. It is very easy - when finding the place to implement your own code - to build impressive GDL-Parts on that path.

The other one from mariosmic has more abilities - implemented curves. Mayby You should take direct contact to them?

Really great work so far!

Thanks, i have actually been studying all of your objects and his and i have been working on learning how to make it work when i have time. it is rather complicated but i plan on adding that option to all my objects. thats actually while i put my floor joists on pause. i want to have the ability to curve and add points where ever i want. I just dont have the time right now to figure it all out. super busy with my new business and i have a six month old. i have a pretty good understanding of the dynamic arrays, its just the adding points and feeding them back in that still has me boggled.

here is a link to the thread to download the truss. plus a new video.
