Gable roof

I am trying to draw a gable roof, but all I get using the multiple planes roof is a 4 planes roof over my rectangular shape house. I know how to transform that roof in a gable roof, but I can only convert in gable the planes over the short dimension of the house. I need to make a gable roof but with the gable located in the long direction.

You could edit the ridge length, bringing the ends to the center, and then set the long planes as the gables.

But an easier way is to probably model it with the gable option active instead of the hip option.
