Hotlink various buildings into a site model

I'm busy with a project which contains individual buildings.
From previous topics it seems best to create an individual Archicad file for each building and hotlinking these together.

I'm having trouble with placing the hotlinks accurately, moving them once placed, and rotating them.

Some advice would be appreciated.

Is it just a case of making sure that the grouping is enabled (not suspended)?
Then the group can be dragged and rotated just like any other element.
