How to control where new window opens on screen?

I work with two screens, and typically leave a lot of palettes and toolbars open on my laptop screen, with my plan, detail, section, 3D, etc windows on my larger second screen. When I right-click on a saved view and select "Open in new window", the new window appears hidden behind my palettes and toolbars, and I can't move the new window without moving palettes out of the way first.

Is there a way to set a preference for where new windows should open? Using teamwork, both AC17 and 18, on Mac.

Resize the windows as you'd like and then save it as a "Palette Scheme" In your Work Environment

I do have a saved palette scheme, but the new view window comes up hiding behind them. See screen shots enclosed.

Others on my team don't have two screens, so I think the window comes up wherever the last person to view it put it.

Move the "problem" window out from under your palettes to the preferred location.

Store (or redefine) the palette scheme. Apply the scheme.

Does the window now open in the "new" location?
