How to retrieve an auto save.. help

I accidently closed a file without saving (thinking it was just the rendering window). Now I have lost an hours worth of detailed work unless I can extract the auto save that much be there somewhere. Any help is appreciated.

If You closed with answering "no" to save...then there is nothing to retrieve unfortunately

You are on MAC, but if You were on PC you could hit "no" by mistake due to awkward button order (they are in "MAC" order on PC...no is where on standard PC apps is yes).

Man, it seems there should be a way to open the temp folder. I am looking right at it, and the time stamp is just where I was.. but....(((

As far as I know, once you properly quit ArchiCAD it clears the temporary saves.

Forced quits should allways prompt you with the autosave if you start it again.
