Issues using AC and IFC in FM

Hi,

Maybe I should have put this in multiple posts, but here goes:

Problem 1 – We have over 5000 rooms in our organization that need
maintenance.

Custom classification references made in AC19 lose its ItemReference (ifcIdentifier) when imported to AC20. It changes the name value to “Våtrom”. I guess what happens is that AC20 places the default zone category where the custom classification should be.

Problem 2 – We want to update our zones without the need of adding already existing geometry.

The zones are not able to update due to the lack of space boundaries. There is no possibility to make ifcWall objects space bounding, and no automatic way of creating geometry to serve as boundaries. In my opinion AC should make all ifcWalls space bounding by default (with override capability)

Problem 3 – We want to create views of our models automatically.

There is no way of creating graphic overrides (GO) based on IFC parameters. This is a known limitation of the tool. We would like to create templates with GO and then apply them to hundreds of models that are made in a consistent manner.

Regards,
Daniel
