Issues with Doors showing up with Trimming Bodies

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone can steer me down the right path here.. I'm a new user to Archicad and am having a bunch of issues after transferring over from AutoCAD (go figure..).

My main issue at the moment is with the trimming body of my roof. Its trimming out my sliding exterior door on all my exterior / 3d views.

The exterior casing shows up, but thats it. I've tried both options (contour lines and pivot lines) and the contour lines is worse, and doesn't show anything, however pivot lines at least allows the casing to show up properly.

Any ideas?

What happens if you don't trim the wall with the roof? Just make it the correct height.

Well, just tried your suggestion but I get the same problem, the door still doesn't show up in any elevation or 3d view.

do you have part of the deck in it ? Select just the all and show that in a 3D view ?. Is it possible that your using a blank door ?

Which door is it? DBL Door, Sliding Door, ?

Here's the 3d view. I just went through all the settings so I'm pretty sure its not a blank door.

The door itself is the D2 Sliding 18, set up as a 5' x 6'-8". The door panel is just a "No Grill" panel.

The Door is sitting right on the base of the wall (0" to sill) and the deck is 4" below the sill.

It looks like the deck is into that wall some. That could be the problem. ? It looks like the floor is also extending into the doorway. ? How does it look in the door schedule ?

Did you try Cancel Operations on Selected Elements ?

accidentally select the empty door panel?

Hey Steve,

Just to follow up without leaving this in the dark. I finally got it to work properly, I don't know what was going on previously but I just deleted the door, and inserted a new one (the same way I did the first time) and it seems to work fine now.... go figure.

But to answer your questions:

My floor slab extends to the outside of the wall, so yes the I suppose the floor is extending into the doorway.

The deck is attached to the core of the slab, which also lines up with the outside core of the wall. Just the wall finishes were cut out a little by the deck.

I did try the SEO method you suggested but it said "One or more of the selected Elements are not editable, therefore cannot be used as Operators or Targets." so I didn't get too far with it.

And no, it definitely didn't have the Empty Door panel selected

Either way, seems I'm onto the next challenge as I learn... Thanks for all the tips though!
