Lock Columns and to Grid Elements

Hi

I'm new to archicad and archicad talk so apologies in advance (I've moved from using Revit for a number of years)!

I have a steel frame structure and I have started by setting out the grid elements before placing columns on the intersection.

What I'd like to know is can I lock the columns to the grid elements i.e. once there is additional survey information, the gridlines may need adjusting and I would like the columns to move accordingly.

Thanks in advance.

P.s. I'm working in Archicad 20

No, this is not possible.

What you could do in case you need to adjust the Grid:

Hide all Layers except the Layers on which the Grid and Columns are placed.
Then draw Marquees around the Grid Elements that need to be moved and use the Stretch command (CTRL + H) to move them. Everything visible within the Marquee will be stretched, which in case of the Columns means they will be moved since their whole geometry is within the Marquee.

Thanks Laszlo.

I think I'll use that and groups. I just need to get to grips with nested groups and I think I'll have a few different alternative options.

Since posting the op I found out that you can create a grid with columns at intersections, I've then grouped the columns with the grids
