Multi-Panel Sliding Door: ganging, library part, parametric options

Hi, I've been searching for solutions to create a multi-panel sliding door. My system only has a 3 panel in the library. I want to know if there is a way to create 4,5,6, etc. I found a couple threads that mentioned ganging 2 door systems, which would cause schedule issues. Is there a library part that has # of panels as a parametric option? Or is there another way to make multi panel doors with my current library options?

Hi Zaid,
Our Infinite Openings tools allows any number of sliding panels on either side with fix panel, face slider, and cavity slider options.

There are several videos on it here: https://www.youtube.com/user/CADSwift/playlists
Most recent user guide videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcbNDcsCZtyr9OfByqKKMVylqG7SUjGDj

None of the videos show the multi-slider except briefly in one of the latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJmlbvSQwe8&list=PLcbNDcsCZtyr9OfByqKKMVylqG7SUjGDj&index=12&t=0s

I don't know of any other object that will allow more than 3 sliders, hence I built the ability into my own tool.

Thanks Kristian. Infinite openings tool looks promising. I'll definitely look into purchasing it if I can't figure out how to script one myself.

If you don't need it to be parametric then you can create it from slabs and then save as a custom door object.
Otherwise you will need to script your own or find one like Kristian has made.

Just remember that the more panels you have sliding behind each other, the wider your frame (track) has to be.
That is why you will find most doors will be limited to 3 sliders in each direction.
More than that and you might want to start looking at panel fold doors so they can stack sideways at the ends and only need a single narrow track no matter how many doors you have.
