Purging unwanted layers using attribute manager

A Layer cannot be purged if there are any elements on it. Sometimes (by mistake), elements can be placed on a layer that will later require purging. This can occur in any of the possible views (plan, section or detail). To hunt down the offending element can be time consuming (make the layer to be purged the only visible layer, then review each plan, section or detail window fully zoomed out, delete or move elements to a new layer, make sure no tool is linked to that layer).

Finally the question: Is there a quicker method for locating offending misplaced elements to expedite layer purging? For instance, “Show or reveal all windows and elements on a particular layer.” Thank you.

No. Good idea though. You should put up a wish.

In the meantime, have you voted on this one?

James, your link references an excellent idea (which I just voted in favor of), but we still need a way of searching/identifying where elements/primitives are located. What story, detail or section/elevation window. Thanks for your timely response.
