Railing Tool - Fixing Plate to stay horizontal

Andre_Steynberg

Hi all

Hope everyone is doing well.

On the railing tool in AC22, is there anyway to keep the fixing plate flat / horizontal regardless of the angle railing itself?
On the pic I've added the right hand side is correct, I would like the left hand side to also be horizontal instead of following the angle of the reference line.
Anyway to do this?

The setting is not in the fixing section, but in the main post section.

If you want all of the bottoms to be horizontal, you can set for the railing (for both posts and inner post) as a whole.
Otherwise you can select an individual post and change the setting for just that post (you will have to convert the pattern to segment length to be able to select individual posts).

thanks for the reply.
Some experimenting later and it seems that option only works with both Associative options enabled (which I never do for some reason).
Both on now and working well, thanks again for the help

It is the same for static rails as well.
I just checked in 24 and each post has top and bottom endings that can be parallel to slope, horizontal or perpendicular to post.
