Reading ArchiCAD 9 files and transferring to AC18

Hello :
I'd like to recover a file created by AC9 on a G4 Macbook.
I have the AC9 file on my Macbook Pro, OS 10.11.6.
Is the following procedure likely to succeed?

Current - MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) 10.11.6, ArchiCAD 18
Reinstall : Mac OS 10.10,
Read ArchiCAD 9 file with Rosetta and save
The Archicad 10 File Converter Package has been updated to work with Mac OS X 10.10
Reinstall : OS 10.11.6 Open saved AC9 file with AC 18

Thank you for any tips or advice.
Regards : Hubert Wagner

It should.
FYI, do a lot of "Save As…" along the way.
Also try "Saving as Archive…" just in case some library parts decide to go missing

I believe you can open it straight from within AC18?
