Renovation / house raising

Daniel Lindahl
Contributor
This is a typically Australian scenario: I am doing a renovation that involves lifting the existing house and building in underneath. I think I have to use 2 files because of the changed floor levels.

Has anyone worked out a good way of documenting such a renovation within a single file, using the renovation toolset?
cheers
Daniel

I would probably try publishing a multistory module file from the existing building and linking that to your new building file.

I would probably model the building so the existing floor is the upper floor level, and just lie (i.e. 2D) about levels and ground lines on any existing elevations and sections. Use renovation filters to distinguish between existing and proposed.
