Hi, rI did roads design trought railing manager and profile manager.
Honestly I don't know any other better way to do it.
I wonder if I can show it also in 2D, now I only see the railing line, but not what it looks like ( foot print/top view ).
It's a bit tedious to make railings / roads and then make fills for 2D

I just quickly made a similar profile and used it in the top rail of a railing.
It shows on plan just fine.
What happens if you place a railing off to the side of your model where there is nothing else around?
The only other thing I can think of is if the railing is set to show on the current storey.
i.e. make sure if you are placing it in storey 1, it is not set to only show in storey 2 - or something like that.

I have problem to be able edit this post - here is example how I made fill and if I delete this fill there is railing what is roads. I would like to get railing tool with visible footprint/2D fills
I hope you understand me 🙂

I’ve used the railing tool like this but you have to make junctions in other ways.
I have just used the mesh tool for the road surface then added kerbs using the railing or even the beam tool

Thats also nice way how to do it 👍
Do you know if is possible to show railing with fill or do I have to do it by Mesh.
Because I'm moving with road and mesh is not the best one for moving and changing curv direction,

You have to turn on the visibility in the Model View Options.

In the 2D representation for the toprail, do you have the with or without axis option active?
Rather than axis only?

Is your railing a single complex profile? Or are the road, verge and foot path separate rails with their own profiles assigned?

I did like one complex profile.

P.S. you won't see the separate kerbs, path, road in plan as it is just regarded as one rail.
You would have to use multiple separate rails for each piece to have any distinction.
