SEO and cut slab wont show on my plans

I have used a PROFILE to create this floor structure.
Then on plan i created a slab in the shape of the cut i want.
Used SEO and subtracted the new slab from the extruded profile.
I got exactly what I wanted.

The only thing that is annoying me.
On plan I cant see the outline of the newly cut slab ?
girrrrr.

any help would be super.
thanks guys.

One work around:
1. set up 3d cutting plane at story section height, adjust z-value for stories as needed
2. save 3d document of a top down view
3. turn on ONLY the layer of the element that is cut by SEO
4. save a view of this
5. turn off the layer of the element that is cut by SEO in your plan
6. place both views on your layout, one on top of the other

Try to remember that a lot of things can actually be modelled to have holes / cuts without resorting to SEO quick 'n dirty solutions.

Model the slabs separately using the slab tool - one on each storey. Model the curved side pieces individually using the new 'Shell' tool - it looks like you could use the extruded shell method.

This will display correctly on plan and in section.

You could do the whole thing in one piece with the extruded shell tool.

You will need to make the shell in 3D view so it is horizontal (rotate the editing plane so it is vertical for you to model the "s" shape on).
Then you can "define a shell contour" in plan to cut the shape you want.
No SEO needed (it is all uotomatic) and it will lok like you want in all views.

Or extrude the shell in plan and free rotate in 3D so it is horizontal.
Then do an SEO with you shape slab to get what you want.
