Section vs. Floor Plan

Anybody else noticing that ArchiCAD lets you copy 3D objects (beams, library parts, etc) in a Section or Elevation window, but when you go back to the Plan window the object/element does not show up? I just spent 15 min copying a beam part 20+ times in a section only to find when I returned to the
Plan window they are nowhere. Not on a different story, not a different renovation status, not on a hidden layer, just NOWHERE. I go back to the Section & there they are, just as they should be, even after a rebuild. Am I missing something?

It works fine. And it gives me another chance to use this new screen capture tool I am having so much fun with

Cool capture, though you could turn the sound off. Smaller file.

oh oh...I didn't know this computer even had a microphone.
It must be built in. Thanks for the tip.

Mike, what happens if you select all these copied elements in Section and then go to the 3D Window. Do they show up there? Can you then check their Floor Plan Display settings to see if they are correctly set?

One thing you might look at is that if your beam is set NOT to display the reference line when you create it in 3D, and then the MVO in plan is set to display the reference line ONLY, you will never, ever, see it in plan.

Is your Floor Plan layers' setting showing the Beam layer?I think that out of the box it doesn't.

As a second, see if the beams are in the elevation range of the floor Plan.
