Show on all stories

I am currently working with a project that contains a tall building with several roof terraces. I would like to use slabs as the terraces, showing them on all stories above so that you get the big picture when you see the plans, without having to draw each terrace using a fill on each story.

The problem is that some of my colleagues doesn't fully understand modelling in 3D and therefore tend to copy or erase objects not belonging to the current story. Is it possible to lock objects from being editable or copied on stories they are only visible on? Does anyone know any other good workaround?

You can lock an object.

It's not editable then, but you can still copy it.

Thanks but I have already tried that one a couple of times. I usually end up having several slabs floating in the air above the original slab.

If it's a teamwork file, you could create a new user with name like 'Don't touch' and reserve the elements under that user?
