Specifying the interior/exterior face of a custom door leaf?

Is there a way to specify which face of a custom door leaf is the exterior?

I've created some custom craftsman style exterior doors that have a plain flat slab on the interior side. Some of them insert properly and some insert with the craftsman face to the interior and the plain flat slab to the exterior.

I created one in plan view and then copied it multiple times and modified it for different doors, so I'm not sure why some display one way and some display the other.

I ended up having to flip some of them upside down in plan view and resave them to get them to display properly. Anyone else have this issue?

Can you show a few screenshots to illustrate the problem.
As far as I know, the upper side of the Slab drawn on the Floor Plan will become the Exterior side of the custom Door Leaf.
