Splitting a roof

Hi,

Can I split a roof?

I've got an exiting roof, part of which needs to be demolished. If I need to demolish part of an existing wall I can usually split it and change the renovation status of the section I need gone, but I can seem to do the same with this roof.

Any ideas?

Is it a single plane roof or multi plane? If multi plane you will have to split into single plane elements first, but yes, it can be done.

Thanks.

It's a multiplane roof, but in the end I made a copy of it, changed the renovation of the original to demolished and put the new one back as a proposed element and removed the bits I didn't want

How would you go about splitting a multi plane roof into single plane elements?

How would you go about splitting a multi plane roof into single plane elements?

You can just right click on the roof and select "Split into Single-Plane Roofs"
